Hello, welcome to St Tanwg

The owners of St Tanwg have  been visiting the village of Llandanwg in Eryri National Park, close to Harlech, for over 50 years.  Our family ties with the area go back to the 1950's.

It's our privilege to now own a lovely holiday home where the mountains meet the sea in a region of such beauty. There's even the unique small ancient church of St Tanwg nestled among the sand dunes wedged between the beach and the Artro estuary, dating back to the 6th century, believed to be the oldest continuous site of Christian worship in the UK.    The area is truly inspiring, with the sea, beaches, mountains, forests, fields, and meadows all contributing to this enchanting locale.

We wanted to provide our fabulous guests at our holiday home with high-quality local produce, including hand washes and lotions, and finding no local suppliers, we took the decision to create our own range of luxury products.

The tiny church of St Tanwg is the inspiration for our vision and we set to work to develop the delightful scents that are inspired by the charm of Llandanwg and the expansive beauty of Eryri.

It wasn't long before our guests started to ask where they could buy the items we had in the house and to be able to take home a small memory from their holidays with us and thus St Tanwg was born.   We have subsequently developed the range to include some fabulous reed diffusers and hand poured plant wax candles as well.

It is a very small family run business we hand-pour all of our products in small batches in Llandanwg, Harlech and they are presented beautifully in our amber glass vessels.
